Job Description:

Overview:
Coordinate the manufacturing process to improve existing product processes and the launch of new products, utilizing Lean principles and tools.
Role & Responsibilities:
Work to continuously improve production methods including layout, production flow, production equipment, fabrication, assembly and packaging methods.
Background in Lean principles and tools
Develop equipment and processes for new launches
Define and design packaging per customer requirements.
Resolve customer complaints and concerns.
Follow TS16949 processes. Suggest improvements to processes, if necessary.
Provide justification of capital equipment purchases.
Review process efficiency and work to improve scrap, rework, downtime, and cycle times.
Participate in GLP teams as needed.

Requirements:

Associate’s degree in Applied Technologies preferred.

Four years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.

Experience in robotic MIG welding processes / cells

Computer skills using Microsoft Office products.

AutoCAD experience preferred.

Problem-solving and project management skills.

Salary—- 65K+

Measure and record nail blank specs, check all blanks every 10 minutes with production lot control/work order. Stack finished products on skids, keep work area neat, and remove waste material. Complete worksheet that details production quantity, type of nail, and any occurrences which affect Header or Threadroller.

Qualifications:
Math Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and
100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight
Measurement, volume, and distance. Must also be able to read metric system.

Communication:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-
on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
organization.

Reasoning Abilities:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step
instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no
variables.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED; some related experience or training.

Experience:
Previous Industrial Experience. Good Mechanical Skills/Aptitude.

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stand and/or walk for 10-12 hours daily with frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and stooping. EOE

Production Supervisor –Middle TN
Starting compensation range of $55-65,000, benefits.

Production Supervisor position available in Sumner County area. Hands on Plastic Injection experience required. Will lead plant associates preparing auto parts for release to major a OEM.

This Fortune 500 Company is well positioned in its industry and requires a hands on leader who will also be required to periodically work on the lines to instruct and train new employees. Experience should include working closely with other managers including engineering, quality, materials, etc.

Plant Manager would like a degree but experience in plastic injection auto parts is required. Must have worked in a quality certified environment. Will have a minimum of 3 plus years in a supervisor role to qualify. Candidates must be capable of working well under strict requirements and often stressful conditions.
